Parents: Today we are sending home Sibling Dismissal Forms with all students PK-5. If you have more than one child attending Schanen Estates, please complete this form and return it tomorrow, Aug. 12 (Tues.) We will begin sibling dismissal Tuesday, Aug. 12 and all sibling groups will wait together until called to your vehicle. Siblings are picked up using the drive-through in the staff parking lot. 🚗📚 Schanen Estates Elementary Parent Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures 📚🚗

Shamrock Families,

As we get ready to launch into another amazing school year, we want to make sure everyone is clear on our Drop-Off and Pick-Up procedures to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all!

☘️ Morning Drop-Off:

All students may enter through the Cafeteria Main Entrance (past front office) or the PreK Gate.

Parents (with the exception of PreK) will not be allowed to walk students to their classrooms. Parents will be asked to stop at open gates for the safety of all our staff and students.

Student Morning Meeting Locations:

PreK – 5th Grades will wait in the Cafeteria until 7:45 a.m. each day until their teachers pick them up and lead them back to their classrooms. PreK parents may wait until 7:45 a.m. to walk students directly to the classroom.

🚫 Please note: ALL side entrances will not be opened for any students at any time.

☘️ Afternoon Pick-Up:

PreK – Pick up at the PreK Gate

Kinder – Kinder courtyard entrance facing Killarmet Dr.

1st Grade – White benches by Staff parking (use one-way through traffic line through staff parking lot)

2nd Grade – Kinder courtyard entrance facing Killarmet Dr.

3rd Grade – Kinder courtyard entrance facing Killarmet Dr.

4th & 5th Grades – Galway St.

🛑 REMINDER: Please do not park in designated spots for BUSES ONLY on Killarmet. These will marked off with a cone. Also, parents my not park & exit their vehicles while in the vehicle line, in the middle of the street.

Meet the Teacher
Corpus Christi ISD is proud to announce the next phase of its 1:1 for everyone, which expands access to digital learning tools for all grade levels. During the 2025–26 school year, students in grades K–12 will have access to a district-issued device. Students in grades 3 through 5 will have access to a 1:1 device while at school, and students in grades 6-12 will have a device directly assigned to them for use at school and home. Families of students in grades 3–8 will also have the option to request that their child’s device be sent home for extended learning opportunities. Highlights of the Initiative: Internet filters: All devices will be equipped with internet filtering to help ensure safe browsing at school and home. Insurance options: Families will have access to device insurance options ranging from $15-$30, which can be found on the school webstore. Student Technology Service Center: Certified high school student technicians will continue to provide device repair and maintenance through the Student Technology Service Center, supporting both sustainability and career-ready skills development. “Providing devices for each student ensures equitable access districtwide and enables students to take learning beyond the four walls of the classroom, when appropriate,” said Director of Technology Support Services Janelle Reyes.
